I've noted that there's a discrepancy in my career. It's not that I'm a fake, it's just that I've let my online work disappear into the void we call the internet. Theoretically, I'm not sure if I still have the passion.
Still, it doesn't do me any good just sitting around and letting it go. I've got to do something about it.
So I've decided to start all over.
Previously, this was a blog where I just aired out my feelings. As I perused through them I realized that I'm a very different person now than what I was then. As such, I've deleted all my posts and decided to start anew. This blog will no longer be about my personal feeling, my emo-tastic thoughts that ultimately were too negative for me in the first place. Instead, this blog will be about my work. I'll be uploading my work onto this site and the hope is that I find my passion in art again.
I used to draw…a lot. It helped me pass time, concentrate on what's going on around me, and just it just plain helped me relax. In my current state, I believe I've lost some of that skill. But I do want to get it back. Am I industry level? Yes, but only in animation. But even then I see a LOT of improvement I can do.
It's all about practice, right?
So this isn't just going to be about my animation, it's going to be a well of my concept art as well as a repository of art to help me improve. I'll be posting up sketchbook pages, videos of my animation, and possibly some game related concepts.
Realize that this isn't about trying to get out there, this is an exercise to keep me focused on my skill set. I don't plan on advertising this blog much, I just want a forum where I can log my improvements in my art.
Radioactivemouse is what I was in the industry and for a while I owned that domain name. One day I will revive that website and show people that I truly DO have the skill to be with the big boys and I'll link this blog to prove I'm the real deal.
So here's to the future. One day at a time.
